UNT Alumna recognized with Region III NASPA award

University of North Texas alumna Kimberly Lowry (2014) was presented the award for Outstanding Community College Professional for Region III. The award is given annually by NASPA, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, to recognize outstanding members and honor student affairs professionals of each region.

The award is for professionals who have helped create campus environments that promote student learning and personal development, and contributed towards services that address the varied and changing needs of students. Region III includes the southeast part of the United States and countries including Japan, Mexico and South Africa.

Lowry is currently the Executive Dean of Student and Enrollment Services at Eastfield College, one of seven campuses that comprise the Dallas County Community College District. She received her doctorate in higher education from the UNT and her master’s in counseling from California State University.
