The William T. "Bill" and Margie L. Bryant Scholarship

Purpose: A fund to provide scholarships to College of Education students who are first-generation college students, to students dedicated to public education, and to students who attended William T. and Margie L. Bryant Elementary School in Arlington, TX. This scholarship is annually renewable if the recipient re-applies and continues to meet the scholarship requirements.


  1. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of the College of Education in effect at the time of any award;
  2. Maintain full-time enrollment as established by the University, unless the student in nearing completion of his or her degree program and does not need full-time enrollment;
  3. Enroll as a full-time student in College of Education at the University; preference will be given to first generation college students with an interest in public education; in the event no applicant meets this criteria, then students enrolling full-time at the university will be eligible for consideration;
  4. Demonstrate eligibility for need-based financial assistance as determined by completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or it successor;
  5. Preference will be given to students who attended the William T. and Margie L. Bryant Elementary School in Arlington, TX.
