Admission Requirements

Post-Baccalaureate Online Teacher Education Programs

Students must meet these minimum requirements for admission to the Post-Baccalaureate Online Teacher Education Program:

for Grade 4-8 or Grade 7-12 Certification:

1) Documentation of at least 24 semester credit hours in a Texas approved teaching field (12 must be upper level) must be provided and accepted by the secondary online graduate certification program coordinator.

2) A 2.8 overall Grade Point Average on the undergraduate degree OR a 3.0 Grade Point Average on the last 60 hours of the undergraduate degree is required for admission. Students must continue to meet the requirements of the Toulouse Graduate School in order to remain in the program.

3) Students applying to Teacher Education are required to complete the admission application.

4) The Post-Baccalaureate Online Teacher Education Program will require an application, official transcripts, a 2.8 overall Grade Point Average OR 3.0 Grade Point Average on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework, and an official copy of the score report for ONE of the following (scores listed are minimum scores):

  • GRE (verbal-391/146; quantitative-436/141)
  • ACT (English-23; math 19) (no more than 5 years old)
  • SAT taken prior to March 2016 (total of 1070 with reading and math scores of at least 500) (no more than 5 years old)
  • SAT taken March 2016 or later (minimum score of 480 on evidence based reading and writing, 500 on math) (no more than 5 years old)
