Post-Baccalaureate (PB) Teacher Certification Programs

EC-6 Core Subjects with ESL Supplemental or Bilingual Supplemental (with MEd in Teaching option)

Individuals who currently hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution may apply for an initial teacher certification plan through the College of Education Post-Baccalaureate Advising Office (Matthews Hall 204-E).

4-8 Mathematics or 4-8 Science (with MEd in Curriculum & Instruction option)

Individuals who currently hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution may apply for an initial teacher certification plan through the College of Education Post-Baccalaureate Advising Office (Matthews Hall 204-E). The course of study, field experiences and student teaching internship or probationary teacher practicum requirements are comparable with the undergraduate Grades 4-8 Generalist Interdisciplinary Studies initial certification program.

Field Experience for Elementary Post-Baccalaureate

When you enroll in EDBE 5590 and EDEE 5101/5102 you must also apply through the Clinical Practice Office for school placement in order to meet the 15 hours of observation required for the program.
