Completer Case Study Selected Outcomes
Impact on P-12 Learning and Development (Component 4.1)
To assess teacher candidates’ perceptions of their positive impact on P-12 student learning and development over time, the UNT EPP uses a Completer Case Study model to collect in the absence of the availability of P-12 achievement data (which is not provided by the Texas Education Agency). Data collection includes a 40-question multiple choice survey, focus group interviews, and classroom observations. The graphic below shows the level of preparedness reported in 6 key teaching competencies for first, second, and third year teachers who graduated from UNT’s Educator Preparation Program between 2017-2019.
