Multidisciplinary Advisors

Nola Moudry

After working on the 10 year plan, I completed a B.A.A.S. degree in 1994 at UNT.  I began my employment with UNT in the KHPR Department as a Receptionist.  I started advising in August 1995.  My family moved to Texas when I was three months old, therefore I am a naturalized Texan.  My husband and I have one pet-child, a very onery blu heeler.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, arts and crafts, and home decorating.

In my past life I was a hairstylist, but due to a near fatal auto accident in 1989, I was rendered physically unable to continue work in that field.  Having had my life turned upside down by this accident, my goals, hopes and dreams were forever changed.  Soon after, I came to the realization that the change was for the better.  I look at life in a whole new light. I went back to college full time and I graduated from UNT in 1994 with a B.S. in interdisciplinary studies (elementary reading education) and a minor in Earth/ environmental sciences.  I met and married the man of my dreams while I was teaching freshman English at a local high school. I have enjoyed my Academic Advisor position in the College of Education since 2002. Spare time finds me reading, gardening, or strength training at the Recreation Center.

I graduated from UNT in May 2000 with a BA in Sociology. This is my 2nd stint working at UNT. I was here from 1995-97, before going back to school to finish my degree. I have 6 nieces and nephews. I love them very much and would give them the world if I could. I am "The Cool Aunt". I played 1 year of college basketball. Now I referee High School and College Basketball. I taught and coached for 3 years before returning to work at UNT. In August 2004 I began working for the Housing Dept. In Sept. 2005 I moved to the COE-SAO to become an advisor.

Paul Galloway

I graduated from UNT in December 2011 with a BA in History, as well as English Creative Writing. For the past two years I have worked as an intern at The Village Church Denton. I sought out the Academic Advising position in the College of Education because I enjoy helping students in their present circumstance and encouraging them regarding their future. I enjoy entertainment such as movies, sports, games, and fiction. When I moved to Denton in 2008 it was just another town that didn’t figure into my future plans. However, it’s become home and I would be satisfied to spend my life living here.
