Higher Education doctoral graduate Dr. Baaska Anderson receives honorable mention

Congratulations to Dr. Baaska Anderson, Higher Education doctoral graduate, who received Honorable Mention for the inaugural Outstanding Dissertation Award for Doctoral Education Across the Disciplines from the American Educational Research Association SIG #168.

The selection committee, composed of academics from Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria), Deakin University (Australia), and Helsinki University (Finland), called the dissertation "a very fine scholarly work that should contribute to both understanding and improving the doctoral experience."

Anderson's dissertation, "Predictive Relationships Among Learner Characteristics, Academic Involvement, and Doctoral Education Outcomes," was defended Fall 2011. Anderson's doctoral committee was composed of Dr. Marc Cutright, Dr. Lin Lin, Dr. Robin Henson, and Dr. Ron Newsom.
