COE faculty member featured on WFAA News 8 Daybreak

WFAA coverageMiriam Boesch, assistant professor of Educational Psychology in the UNT College of Education, appeared on WFAA News 8 Daybreak Saturday, July 25, to discuss intervention strategies parents and educators can use when working with children on the autism spectrum.

The interview coincided with the seventh annual Adventures in Autism Conference, held the game day at UNT's Gateway Center. More than 300 teachers, applied behavior analysis experts and other professionals attended the conference, which focused on providing the latest in autism research, intervention and therapies. The conference is organized each year by the UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center.

Boesch specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder and is a member of the faculty for Project STArT (Systematic Training of Autism Teachers). The program aims to professionally prepare qualified special education teachers to work with students with ASD.
