Master of Science in Educational Psychology - Concentration in Child Life

Students in this concentration are provided foundational knowledge regarding growth and change across the lifespan (i.e. physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.) Graduates seek careers in educational environments, federal, state, and local government agencies, nonprofit organizations, community-based social service agencies, businesses, and research institutions.

Graduates may choose to apply this knowledge to hospital settings and seek careers in Child Life. Certification as a Child Life Specialist.  To make this possible, the name of this Concentration changes to Child Life with a more focused degree plan in this area, beginning Fall semester of 2016.  Please contact the department for additional information.   For more information on certification from the Child Life Council, see their website.
