The Department of Counseling and Higher Education promotes human development through education, research and service that advance the professions of, and scholarship in, counseling and higher education.

Counseling Programs
The Counseling Program is a student-centered program that models healthy relationships and pursues a collective purpose based on the values of transparency, integrity, and community engagement. Through maintaining and building on current strengths, the program cultivates leaders who positively impact clients, students and the counseling profession—and, thereby, all humanity.

Higher Education
The Higher Education Program provides education and professional development for individuals who serve or will serve as administrators, faculty, and scholars in higher education institutions, governmental agencies, policy or research centers, and professional associations that conduct postsecondary education in the United States and globally.
