Multidisciplinary advisors

Nola Moudry

After working on the 10 year plan, I completed a B.A.A,S. degree in 1994 at UNT.  I began my employment with UNT in the KHPR Department as a Receptionist.  I started advising in August 1995.
My family moved to Texas when I was three months old, therefore I am a naturalized Texan.  My husband and I have two dogs and one cat we consider our pet-children.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, arts and crafts, and home decorating.

I grew up in El Paso. I left home to study communications at the University of North Texas. Three majors, four minors and six jobs later I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology--it was the best eight years of my life!! I worked as a Pre-school Teacher Assistant at TWU Pioneer School teaching two-year olds for a year before I found my way back to UNT. My husband and I share our home with our dogs and our life with family and friends. I love show-tunes, musical theater, and wearing costumes.

Amy Tannehill

In my past life I was a hairstylist, but due to a near fatal auto accident in 1989, I was rendered physically unable to continue work in that field.  Having had my life turned upside down by this accident, my goals, hopes and dreams were forever changed.  Soon after, I came to the realization that the change was for the better.  I look at life in a whole new light. I went back to college full time and I graduated from UNT in 1994 with a B.S. in interdisciplinary studies (elementary reading education) and a minor in Earth/ environmental sciences.  I met and married the man of my dreams while I was teaching freshman English at a local high school.
I have enjoyed my Academic Advisor position here in the College of Education since 2002.  Spare time finds me reading, gardening or strength training at the Recreation Center.

I graduated from UNT in May 2000 with a BA in Sociology. This is my 2nd stint working at UNT. I was here from 1995-97, before going back to school to finish my degree. I have 6 nieces and nephews. I love them very much and would give them the world if I could. I am "The Cool Aunt". I played 1 year of college basketball. Now I referee High School and College Basketball. I taught and coached for 3 years before returning to work at UNT. In August 2004 I began working for the Housing Dept. In Sept. 2005 I moved to the COE-SAO to become an advisor.
