George S. and Betty Jane Morrison Early Childhood Education and Development and Family Studies Scholarship

Purpose: Established in honor of George S. and Betty Jane Morrison and intended for undergraduate and graduate students in Early Childhood Education or Development and Family Studies.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of the College of Education in effect at the time of any award;
  2. Maintain at least half-time enrollment as established by the University, unless the student is nearing completion of their degree program and does not need half time enrollment;
  3. Enroll as at least a half-time student in Early Childhood Education or Development and Family Studies at the University;
  4. Submit an essay between 800 – 1,000 words addressing the following questions; How do you serve others, through community service or extracurricular activities?  How will this scholarship benefit you, and how do you plan to use the funds?  How will this scholarship help you meet your goals?  How will this scholarship make a difference to you in your career?
  5. In the event no applicant meets this criteria, then available funds will be held for future awards.
