Corinne Gibson Memorial Scholarship

Purpose: Established in honor of Corinne Gibson, a graduate of the Class of 1937 and life-long teacher of elementary education, and intended undergraduate students in the College of Education majoring in interdisciplinary studies (elementary education).

Requirements:

  1. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of the College of Education Department of Teacher Education and Administration in effect at the time of any award.
  2. Maintain full time enrollment at the University, unless they have fewer than twice the number of semester hours required to be full time remaining in their degree program.
  3. Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at the University majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies expressing a strong desire to pursue a career in elementary education.
  4. Freshman applicants must rank in the top quarter of their graduating class and have a minimum score on the SAT of 1,000 or 25 on the ACT.
  5. Applicants who are not entering freshman must carry a 3.0 or better grade point average on 15 hours or more per semester at the University.
