Carroll L. and Lewis M. Corson Scholarship

Purpose: Established in honor of Carroll Lawes Corson, a graduate of the College of Education, and intended for undergraduate students who are teacher certification candidates in the Department of Teacher Education and Administration or in the Applied Technology Training and Development Program of the Department of Technology and Cognition in the College of Education.

Requirements:

  1. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards of the College of Education Deparment of Teacher Education and Administration or in the Applied Technology Training and Development Program of the Department of Technology and Cognition in effect at the time of any award.
  2. Maintain full time enrollment at the University, unless they have fewer than twice the number of semester hours required to be full time remaining in their degree program.
  3. Maintain at least a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  4. Enroll as a full-time student in the Department of Teacher Education and Administration or in the Applied Technology Training and Development Program of the Department of Technology and Cognition at the University. In the event no applicant possesses these characteristics, then students enrolling part-time in the Department of Teacher Education and Administration or in the Applied Technology Training and Development Program of the Department of Technology and Cognition at the University will be eligible for consideration.
  5. Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the federal financial aid application or other university documentation.
  6. Must be a resident of Texas.
