Distinguished Lecture Series


Dr. Cathy Kea is a Professor of Special Education at North Carolina A&T State University. The topic of her lecture was Diversity and Teacher Preparation: Culturally Responsive Planning. She provided TELL scholars and others from the UNT community with an opportunity to learn more about how to develop more culturally responsive classrooms.


While at the 2013 CEC Conference the Project TELL scholars had the opportunity to have dinner with Dr. Fred Spooner.  Dr. Spooner is a professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the Department of Special Education & Child Development. He was able to provide valuable insight to our scholars about the career development and the writing process to help them navigate their doctoral programs and beyond.


Dr. Dan Reschly is a professor of educational psychology at Vanderbilt University.  Dr. Reschly will discuss RTI and the Role of Special Education Leaders for Preventing Academic Behavioral Problems
