Step 1 - Apply to the Toulouse Graduate School
Apply and secure admission to the Toulouse Graduate School at the University of North Texas. The Toulouse Graduate School will require an application fee, and official transcripts. A 2.8 overall Grade Point Average on the undergraduate degree OR a 3.0 Grade Point Average on the last 60 hours of the undergraduate degree is required for admission. Students must continue to meet the requirements of the Toulouse Graduate School in order to remain in the program. An online application is available at the following website: https://www.applytexas.org/adappc/commonapp.WBX. Select "Secondary Teacher Certification: Graduate Academic Certificate" as your course of study. You will need to submit transcripts and standardized test scores to the Graduate School.
Step 2 - Apply to the Online Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program
To apply for admission to the Online Graduate Certification Program, please complete the pre-admission requirements form and complete the required applications and meet the admission requirements of both the Toulouse Graduate School and UNT's Teacher Education Program. Step 3 - Apply to Teacher Education
Apply to Teacher Education and Administration at the University of North Texas. This will require an application fee. Students must continue to meet the requirements of the Online Teacher Certification Program in order to remain in the program. Twelve hours of coursework completed as part of the Secondary Online Graduate Certification Program may be applied toward a master's of education in teaching degree. Students seeking admission to the master's program must secure acceptance into that program. Acceptance criteria for the Master of Education in Teaching Program DIFFER from those of the Online Graduate Certification Program.
