Uganda study abroad program

Wojnowski with Turkana womenScience education faculty member, David Wojnowski, Ph.D., will lead a group of students to Uganda to study environmental education and ecotourism in May, 2012. For two exciting weeks students will tour Uganda. Highlights include three national parks, rural villages, the capital city and the mighty Nile River. Students will participate in a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, wildlife viewing and canoeing. Students will learn firsthand about challenging global issues such as environmental conservation, ecotourism and rural development as it relates to indigenous cultures. In addition, students will recognize the potential of international travel and outdoor recreation to foster personal growth and development. This opportunity earns students six credits.
