Data workshop for teachers and principals to be held June 20-21

Flyer"Work Smarter, Not Harder" is the theme of this year's data workshop that will feature tools to measure student growth, determine curriculum alignment, properly construct assessments and measure financial efficiency.

The workshop takes place June 20 – 21 (Thursday – Friday) in Business Leadership Building, Room 080, and is sponsored by the Education Management, Research and Policy Center at UNT's College of Education.

The hands on workshop is designed for PK-12 teachers and principals, and will provide innovative techniques to determine curriculum alignment. Participants will learn how to properly measure student growth in each subject and determine if the individual student is on-track to meet the teacher, campus and district goals as well as being college ready. The workshop will also focus on how to properly construct assessments and how to measure teacher effectiveness and efficiency.

While example datasets will be provided, the workshop will be most effective if participants bring their own data to analyze. For questions regarding required data elements and formats, please contact Stephanie Brown at Stephanie.Brown@unt.edu or 940-369-5971.

Registration closes June 20. To register, please visit the workshop's website.
