The Kinesiology, Health Promotion, and Recreation Professionals (KHPRos) student organization hosted a Halloween Costume 5K run in October to benefit scholarships in the department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion, and Recreation. The College of Education's dean Jerry Thomas matched the funds they raised, and three $500 scholarships will benefit students in the KHPR department next year.

"I am very proud of these students. The event was a lot of fun and I expect that it will continue to grow. I think it is great that KHPRos is already making a difference for our students with scholarships. They are wonderful ambassadors of professionalism on this campus," said Doryce Judd, KHPRo's advisor and lecturer in the department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion, and Recreation.
