Gary Nye has been named as the winner of the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration Edgar L. Morphet Dissertation Award. This award recognized the significant scholarship of his dissertation: Principal Leadership Beliefs: Are Personal and Environmental Influences Related to Self Efficacy? Gary received the Ed.D.

Dr. Pamela Harrell and Dr. Colleen Eddy's grant proposal Dallas Xtreem Science and Mathematics Institutes, a Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Teacher Quality Grant, was funded for $675,000 over a two-year period.
