UNT and the Fort Worth Independent School District jointly hosted a summer camp introducing bilingual high school students to the field of teaching and encouraging them to consider a career in bilingual education. 21 Fort Worth high school students who are proficient in English and Spanish, are in good academic standing and have shown an interest in teaching were chosen to attend the Future Bilingual Teachers Academy, held at UNT and in the Fort Worth ISD June 4-8, 2012.
