Gary Nye has been named as the winner of the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration Edgar L. Morphet Dissertation Award.  This award recognized the significant scholarship of his dissertation: Principal Leadership Beliefs: Are Personal and Environmental Influences Related to Self Efficacy?  Gary received the Ed.D. in Educational Administration in December, 2008.  His committee included Judith Adkison, Jimmy Byrd, and Ruth Silva.  Currently Dr. Nye is an assistant principal at Wester Middle School in Frisco I.S.D.

The award will be presented at the 63d National Council of Professors of Educational Administration Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
