Dr. Nelson to Speak at Italy's University of Padova

Professor Nancy Nelson, Chair of the Department of Teacher Education and Administration, will present an invited address, "No Final Word: Cognition and Context in Writing Research," at the International Writing Day at the Università degli Studi di Padova in Padua, Italy.

The conference, to be held April 20, honors Professor Pietro Boscolo, who has had a long and distinguished career as a writing researcher. He is Professor of Developmental Psychology and former Dean of the College of Education at the University of Padova. He also served as President of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI) from 2007 to 2009. The University of Padova is the second-oldest university in Italy and one of the world's oldest centers of higher learning, founded in 1222.
