Dr. Jim Morrow to speak at Michigan State University

On October 25, Dr. Jim Morrow, Regents Professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion and Recreation, will present "WINning Research at The Cooper Institute" at Michigan State University. Morrow will provide an overview of The Cooper Institute, the CCLS database, review the nature of Cooper Institute research activities and an overview of his Women's Injury Study (WIN Study), a 5-year longitudinal study that he leads to study the relation between physical activity behaviors and musculoskeletal injuries in more than 900 community-dwelling women.

Morrow has been affiliated with The Cooper Institute for more than 30 years, serving on the FITNESSGRAMĀ® Scientific Advisory Board. Additionally, he has conducted work associated with the Cooper Center Longitudinal Study (CCLS); AKA, the Aerobics Center Longitudinal Study [ACLS]). The CCLS is a 43-year longitudinal study initiated by Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper in 1970 to investigate the relation between physical activity behaviors/physical fitness and health outcomes and quality of life.
