Before you consider applying for a position in the College of Education's General Access Computer Lab you should become familiar with the responsibilities of the position:
Position Summary:
- Providing assistance with basic operational problems
- Providing application support and problems related to hardware and software
- Monitoring the labs and record any computer related problems and events
- Must be able to work well independently as well as within groups
- Other tasks when assigned by supervisors
- Must be able to attend mandatory meetings on Fridays
- Must be enrolled at UNT for semester applied for
- Ongoing training
- International students are expected to work 20 hours per week
Computer Knowledge Required:
- Windows Operating Systems
- Microsoft Office 2007
- Web design software: Dreamweaver, Flash, etc
- Good common sense with problem solving
- Good hardware/software troubleshooting skills
- Scanning
- Printing Network troubleshooting
Abilities Required:
- Able to maintain positive attitude at work
- Punctuality
- Good verbal and writing skills
- Excellent customer service skill
- Good Interpersonal skill
- Good personality
- Team player

Personal:
- Must follow appearance (clothing) guidelines
- Must maintain good body hygiene (no body odor)
- Good breath (no bad breath)
Other:
- Employees will work 20 total hours per week, including 1 hour either training or attending a Staff Meeting
- Must be available on Fridays from 5pm - 6pm for Staff Meetings (prior notice will be given at least one week ahead of time)
- All employees are required to work at least one opening shift, or one Saturday shift (be aware of our hours of operation)
- Must be flexible and work well with coworkers, as unexpected schedule changes are sometimes required throughout the semester
