Applications are ready in TK20

Applications for Spring 2010 Field Experiences in the College of Education will be done during the window from September 14- October 16, 2009 in TK20.  You must have a TK20 account to apply.  If you have not purchased this, please go to www.coe.unt.edu and find information about how to do that. 

To apply for Spring 2010 field experience go to http://coe.unt.edu/tk20.  Use your UNT EUID username and password to login to the system.  On the bottom of your Home tab is a news item titled Field Experience Program-Applications.  When you open the news item, you find a cheat sheet of instructions for how to apply.  Along with the cheat sheet there are special instructions to help you determine all of the information you need to complete the application.  DO NOT SKIP ANY OF THE STEPS AND READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.  You should not submit your application if you have questions about the process.  Contact the field experience office if you have questions.  Our contact information is:

The Field Experience Program at the University of North Texas College of Education provides student teaching interns with extensive opportunities to move beyond being students of organized knowledge to become classroom teachers who put their acquired knowledge into practice in the classroom.

Our partners in this process of providing guided and gradual induction into classroom teaching are the teachers and administrators in public school systems. The College of Education works collaboratively with our partner schools to provide field-based programs for both undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students seeking initial certification in elementary and secondary levels.

This website provides general information about the Field Experience Program operation and application procedures for Teacher Education students seeking initial certification through the UNT College of Education.

All current and intending students are requested to consult the website regularly as the information is updated as the need arises. It also provided links to other websites that provide information for completing certification requirements.

If you are in the Secondary program, there are two Videos that must be watched before filling out an application: (Both require speakers or head phones connected to your computer and your browser must have Flash plugins which can be obtained at www.adobe.com/downloads) There is some information on the videos that has changed.  There will be an upcoming note on this page about where and how to do the applications.  Other information is correct.
