"Dr. Bullock has coordinated the master's and doctoral leadership programs in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders at UNT for many years. Over the years, he has received extensive external funding to support full- and part-time scholars who desire to work with children/youth with problem behaviors and/or work in insitutions of higher education.
He has had the honor of serving as President of several international professional organizations (i.e., Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders (CCBD), The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), Teacher Education Division of the CEC and currently serves on the executive board for the Pioneer Division (PD) of CEC. For 14 years he served as the Chairperson for Professional Development for the CCBD and coordinated the planning of conferences, symposia, and othe r trainings for its membership.
In 2010, he was honored as the ""Showcase Honoree"" for the PD of CEC; in 2008, he was the recipient of CCBD Outstanding Leadership Award; in 2002, he was the recipient of the International Award on Excellence in Teaching given by the Teacher Education of CEC; in 1995, he was the recipient of the J.E. Wallace Wallin Award for significant contributions to the field of special education, the highest award given by the CEC, and the Leadership Award from the Midwest Symposium for Leadership in Behavioral Disorders. At the local level, in 2009, he was the receipient of the 'Fessor Graham Award for committment ot teaching excellence, good rapport with students, and scholarly publications.
He serves on several journal editorial boards (e.g., Behavioaral Disorders, Teacher Education and Special Education, Preventing School Failure, Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties, Multicultural Teaching and Learning)."
