Dr. Chng came to UNT in 1981. His large classes enroll over 600 students last year with one section of over 300 undergraduates. His evaluations are always very high and he has been honored three times by students and faculty for his teaching quality.
Dr. Sue Bratton has published over 40 articles, chapters, books in the field of play therapy, the majority of which are research–based. Dr. Bratton made over 90 presentations internationally and nationally since 2005 many of which were invited keynote addresses based on her outcome-based research. She has successfully managed over $400,000 in grants supporting play therapy research.
Dr. Driver is in his fourth year as an Assistant Professor in Kinesiology. At the time of the award review last year, he had 17 refereed publications in the top journals in his field and another 4 under review. Dr. Driver had made 40 international/national presentations. He received over $75,000 in grants and is developing or has submitted new NIH and other grants.
While Dr. Weiller is an active member of six national/state professional organizations and she serves as a manuscript reviewer for several of their journals. At UNT she serves on eleven committees and as Undergraduate Program Coordinator for the Kinesiology program. She is a long-time UNT Faculty Senator and becomes the President of the Senate this fall. She has served as Chair and Vice Chair of the COE Faculty Assembly Committee.
Dr. Stromberg serves as Lead Advisor for the Master’s in Educational Administration and Principal Certification Programs. She served as both Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator of the program. She is the coordinator and lead writer of the Ed Leadership NCATE program report. She teaches four sections of master’s classes each semester. She made two research presentations with Dr. Johnetta Hudson last year. For six years she coordinated the Annual UNT Assistant Principals’ Confernce. She serves as a member of the Advisory Council for the Region 11 New Principals’ Academy.
Susan Khoury began work in the College of Education 18 years ago as a senior secretary and currently serves as the Administrative Services Officer for the Department of Educational Psychology. She served the college and departments through two college restructurings, implementation of new university systems, new presidents, new deans, several moves, four Interim Chairs . She served on the College of Education staff council, was elected to the first University Staff Council, serving two terms on that committee.
