Accelerated Bachelors+Masters in Educational Psychology

EPSY is offering the option of a dual-degree (BS + MS) to undergraduate students who are:

Academically strong undergraduate students with a Major or Minor in HDFS (HDFS-BS or HDFS-Minor) may apply for and be admitted to the master's in educational psychology while still undergraduates.  Doing so allows them to both finish their bachelor's degree and one third of their masters program at the same time.  With departmental approval, and subject to requirements of the accelerated master's degree, four undergraduate courses are replaced with their graduate counterparts.  These four courses also count toward the masters' degree in educational psychology (Concentration in Family Science; or Concentration in Learning & Development).

Academically strong undergraduate students who choose a Minor in Special Education (SPED-Minor) may apply for and be admitted to the master's in special education while still undergraduates.  Doing so allows them to both finish their bachelor's degree and one third of their masters program at the same time.  With departmental approval, and subject to requirements of the accelerated master's degree, four undergraduate courses are replaced with their graduate counterparts.  These four courses also count toward the masters' degree in SPED (Concentration in Autism Intervention; Concentration in Educational Diagnostician; or Concentration in High Incidence Disabilities).

These dual-degree options provide the opportunity to potentially graduate with a Bachelors and a Masters degree in 5 or fewer years.
