The Douglas and Carolyn Kern Scholarship

 

An award in honor of the Donor’s parents, Robert and Doris Kelpe and Lawrence and Getrude Kern, and to provide scholarships assistance for academically talented students in the College of Education Department of Counseling, Development, and Higher Education (“the Department”) with a major in the program of Counseling Education.

Requirements:

  1. Meet the minimum entrance and academic performance standards of the College of Education Department of Counseling, Development, and Higher Education in effect at the time of any award;
  2. Maintain full time enrollment at the University, unless they have less than twice the number of semester hours required to be full time remaining in their degree program;
  3. Enroll as a full-time student in the Counseling Program; in the event no applicant possesses this characteristic, then students enrolling full-time in the College of Education Department of Counseling, Development, and Higher Education at the University will be eligible for consideration.
