The Dale Rorex Fund for the College of Education
A fund in honor of Dr. Paul Dale Rorex, Ph.D. 1994, and to provide support for students and programs in the Program in Higher Education in the College of Education at the University. In the future, if for any reason the Program in Higher Education no longer exists, the Dale Rorex Fund Board of Directors (described in section 7.0 below) has the authority to direct resources from the Fund to appropriate programs and students in the College of Education.
Requirements:
- Be accepted into the doctoral program of the Department of Counseling, Development and Higher Education (or its successor) and;
- Have and maintain a minimum 3.00 grade point average on a 4.00 scale on all college level work; and
- Maintain full time enrollment at the University, unless they have fewer than twice the number of semester hours required to be full time remaining in their degree program; and
- Be in the normal pattern of dissertation hours at the time any part of the award is actually paid; and
- Must supply a brief essay on one or more of the following; (1) activities in which they have been involved that support a culturally diverse population, and /or (2) evidence of socioeconomic hardship they have experienced, and /or (3) personal involvement in life’s hardships and successes.
