Senior Vice President for Advancement
University of North Texas

Dr. McQueen has spent 42 years promoting and contributing to higher education. He will retire in January 2010. He assumed his current position in January 2005, and UNT President Gretchen Bataille attributes the advances in fundraising to the benefit of the UNT Foundation and UNT Alumni Association to the leadership of Dr. McQueen since his appointment. In academic year 2006-2007, the Chronicle of Higher Education gave recognition to UNT for the higher percentage growth of its endowment among 785 colleges and universities. Prior to his current position, McQueen worked at the UNT Health Science Center for 16 years in a variety of positions including health affairs, advancement, institutional planning, and academic administration.
