Applied Physiology Laboratory
Welcome to the website for the University of North Texas Applied Physiology Laboratory. This laboratory is located within the Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion, and Recreation. The Applied Physiology Laboratory covers approximately 10,000 square feet of dedicated space and is comprised of the Exercise Metabolism Laboratory, the Neuromuscular Exercise Laboratory, the Exercise Biochemistry Laboratory, the Body Composition Laboratory, and an aerobic exercise training and teaching area. These laboratories house state-of-the-art computerized equipment for measurement of oxygen uptake, anaerobic capacity, strength and power, muscle activation, constituents of blood and tissue samples, and body composition. The Applied Physiology Laboratory specializes in research and education in the areas of physiology, health, and nutrition that relate to exercise.
