Stella Cook-Bell '73, Dr. Stella Cook-Bell, Austin, TX works
with the Texas Comprehensive Center, building the capacity of state department educational agencies. She offers technical assistance and research-based knowledge to support school
improvement. Previously, she was a teacher  and principal in the Austin Independent School District.
Michael Novotny '99, '09, Dr. Michael Novotny, Salado, TX is the superintendent of schools in the Salado Independent School District. He was
previously the superintendent of schools in the Moulton  Independent School District and an adjunct professor at the University of Houston-Victoria.
Andrea L. DeMaria '08, Dr. Andrea L. DeMaria, Galveston, TX
is an NRSA postdoctoral research fellow at
the University of Texas Medical Branch in
Galveston, conducting research related to
female sexual and reproductive health. She
earned her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University
after earning her master’s from UNT.
Sandy Wisener-Sage '77, Sandy Wisener Sage, Denton, TX retired in 2006 from the UNT Writing Center/Student Use of English office after 29 years of service. She volunteers at Therapy Pals with her pit bull,
Ducky; with the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program; and with Senior Paws, a meals on wheels program for pets.
Leanne Dorhout '02, Dr. Leanne Dorhout, Irving, TX is the principal of  Coppell Middle School North.  Her campus is  currently working to increase  academic and extra-curricular engagement in science, technology, engineering and math. Her school was one of three in the nation to be named as an Intel School of Distinction in 2010-2011. Ashley Samson '07, Dr. Ashley Samson, Baton Rouge, LA has recently accepted an assistant professor position at California State University, Northridge. Ashley specializes in sport and exercise psychology and sociology. She received her Ph.D. from Louisiana State University.
Yvonne Liebig '06, Yvonne Liebig, San Francisco, CA is
a licensed physical therapist in the state of
California. Having graduated from the UCSF/
SFSU physical therapy program with her
clinical doctorate of physical therapy in 2011,
she now works for Essential Balance Physical
Therapy, Inc.
Edward Schultz
'07, Dr. Edward Karl Schultz, Wichita Falls, TX is an assistant professor of education at Midwestern State University. He prepares pre-service teachers to teach students with disabilities. He has recently served as the president of the Texas Council for Exceptional Children.
Ann Lovett-Fitzsimons
'97, Dr. Ann Lovett-Fitzsimons, Gainesville,
TX is the principal at Linda Tutt High
School and Challenge/Journey Programs.
She performs consulting for the Bureau of
Education and Research. In 2009, she was
the Council for Children with Behavioral
Disorders’ National Practitioner of the Year.
Richard Watts '94, Dr. Richard E. Watts, Huntsville, TX
is a University Distinguished Professor and director of the doctoral program in counselor education at Sam Houston State University. He is a fellow of the American Counseling Association and president-elect of the North American Society for Adlerian Psychology.
Anthony Menedez '00, Dr. Anthony L. Menendez, Cleveland,
OH is an associate professor of special
education at Cleveland State University,
where he advises a student chapter of the
Council for Exceptional Children. In his spare
time he volunteers to teach urban students to
play violin.
Mickie Wong-Lo '09, Dr. Mickie Wong-Lo, Chicago, IL is an assistant professor of special education and the undergraduate special education program coordinator at Northeastern Illinois University. As an advocate for safe schools, she often speaks nationally and internationally on issues relating to  bullying and cyber bullying.
