Below are the three steps to apply to the Online Teacher Certification Program. Be advised, prospective students can complete all three steps at the same time. If you have any questions, please contact the program advisors.
STEP 1 – Apply to the Toulouse Graduate School
Apply and secure admission to the Toulouse Graduate School at the University of North Texas. The Toulouse Graduate School will require an application fee, and official transcripts. A 2.8 overall Grade Point Average on the undergraduate degree OR a 3.0 Grade Point Average on the last 60 hours of the undergraduate degree is required for admission. Students must continue to meet the requirements of the Toulouse Graduate School in order to remain in the program. STEP 2 – Apply to the Online Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program
To apply for admission to the Online Graduate Certification Program, please complete the pre-admission requirements form and complete the required applications and meet the admission requirements of both the Toulouse School of Graduate Studies and UNT’s Teacher Education Program. STEP 3 – Apply to Teacher Education
Apply to Teacher Education and Administration at the University of North Texas. TEA will require an application fee. Students must continue to meet the requirements of the Online Teacher Certification Program in order to remain in the program. An application is available here:

Master's Program
Twelve hours of coursework completed as part of the Secondary Online Graduate Certification Program may be applied toward a master's degree in secondary education. Students seeking admission to the Secondary Post-baccalaureate Master's Program must secure acceptance into that program. Acceptance criteria for the Secondary Post-baccalaureate Master's Program DIFFER from those of the Online Graduate Certification Program. A total of 36 hours of prescribed coursework and acceptable Graduate Record Exam scores (GRE), a one-page resume, and a two-page educational essay are additional requirements for acceptance into the Post-baccalaureate Master's Program.
